		<description>I use Akismet comment spam filter, available from WordPress.com as a free plugin.  This cuts down spam comments tremendously.  There are others out there, but Akismet seems to do the trick for me.  I also hold as moderated all comments with certain words or IP addresses.  Taken together, the solution works very well for me. </description>
