I have been considering doing a podcast myself for sometime. Just never had the time nor nerve to actually do it. Home Office Voice had this great post today about podcasting. check it out.
A Quick Guide to Podcasting: “
Have you ever wanted to make your own podcast but didn’t know where to start?
Well I have come across this useful 3-part article, Podcasting 101, that makes it all clear.
What you’ll first realise is that although some post-production work is involved (unless you want some stream-of-conscious mismash) it’s not that difficult to deliver a quality podcast.
For those that have a voice and have something to say, it could be a great way to market your home business.
If you’re a home business and do go down the podcasting road let me know.

You need to try it. As you know, I recorded a podcast for MicroMash (self promotion here: go download it at http://www.micromash.net and click on bar reviews and then free podcast offer). The software can be downloaded for free to record it. Then you just need a good microphone (I traded in my $200 microphone for a $80 one from Circuit City) and some patience. It takes a little getting used to talking to yourself. My first one took 4 efforts before I got it right, but its worth it.
