Shakespeare said that a rose by any other name would smell just as sweet.
I’m looking to you, my readers, to tell me what you think that name should be. And I’ve got an awesome prize for the winner.
Here’s the deal:
Over the past year or so, this site has begun to spread through the legal community like wildfire. At first it was just bankruptcy lawyers, but word got out and now my readers include divorce lawyers, immigration lawyers, consumer protection lawyers … well, you get the point.
There are a lot of you who wouldn’t know how to practice bankruptcy law if your life depended on it.
So that means the name of this site is kind of … outdated. Outmoded. Not reflective of the true nature of the site, which is marketing a law firm that handles issues of concerns to consumers in general.
I could choose to cast off many of my loyal readers, or I could become more inclusive. I choose the latter.
Help me re-name this site. If your entry is chosen I’ll not only give you a shout-out but also free access to Practice Pro Monthly until the end of December – the closed-doors coaching program that teaches the ins-and-outs of marketing offline and online (the prize is available only to lawyers, not to paralegals or people who are not actively engaged in the practice of law).
Do I just stick with my name? Something funky and cool?
Let your imagination run wild, folks. Enter your suggested new name below.

PS if I win I just want to win a year of your Platinum or highest level of services.
Keep it simple and stick with the Practice Pro because it is a bit of an established brand name for you. I have a couple of ideas. First, drop the BK to show you are broadening your base and go with something like Legal Practice Pro or some variant of the first word to appeal to a larger audience.
Second, you might play on your affiliation with Solo Practice University…something like Solo Practice Pro.
Finally, I will throw back some of your own advice to you: pick a name that identifies you with your target market. If you’re target audience small firms or solos, then Solo Practice Pro might work for you.
You could use what some of my clients say when referring to filing bankruptcy; they say they “took the chapter”. So you could name it Taking the Chapter.

Legal Practice Pro (as mentioned above) keeps the name recognition and expands your market to be all-inclusive. I don’t think you want to limit yourself to solos, either.
You maintain your recognition and SEO for ‘practice pro’…and get the overarching umbrella phrase ‘legal’….
I don’t want to win anything. We already did by having you as faculty at Solo Practice University
Hi Jay,
The domain name lawpracticepro.com is already taken, doing what you are doing. However, I have a couple of domain names that I’m not using and we can provide to you if you like either one: lawtastic.com or 1lawpractice.com

OK, I gotta vote for Donna just for sheer cleverness. It would work even better if Jay’s last name started with a D, and he had a sparkly grill and some thick gold chains…yo yo YO!
Just simply “Jay’s Practice Pro” might be good as well, keeps your existing brand, broadens it, and also personalizes it.
Keep the bankruptcy practice pro name. I like it. It reminds all the non-bky lawyers that they do come to us from time to time, hat in hand, looking for something.
Miracle Marketing for the Millennium – it sounds good and describes to some degree what the site is about, great marketing ideas using new technologies.
