I’ve been a huge fan of Google AdWords since it debuted, and have gotten to the point where the majority of my ad dollars are spent there. The problem was that I was spending a ridiculous amount of money just to get a click; in fact, my monthly ad bill was coming in at thousands of dollars. Granted, I was making money with AdWords – I was just frustrated and wished I could keep more of my money in my pocket by lowering my bid price.
I finally figured it out. Well, that’s not quite right. Someone else figured it out, and I got turned onto the system. You see, when you start an AdWords campaign you automatically assume people will be typing in words like “bankruptcy” and “bankruptcy lawyer.” What you don’t account for, however, is the case of the slippery fingers. People don’t always type properly, misspelling words as they go along. How many times have you misspelled a word in such a bizarre way as to make you chuckle?
It’s so common to misspell words that Google has put together a pretty amazing list of the typos for “Britney Spears.” And here’s the famous story about the man who bought a box of gers and saved a bundle of money. Really boggles the mind.
But then the question for me became one of how to figure out all the typos, submit them to AdWords, and take advantage of the fact that I could reduce my bid cost and increase my traffic.
Lo and behold, I found AdTool. It’s a handy tool that allows me to fine-tune my Google AdWords campaign to reduce my costs, increase my clicks, and make my life so much easier (and more profitable).
Here’s what The AdTool does:
Is it rocket science? No, it isn’t. But it saved me a huge amount of time, made sure I was covering all of my bases, and saved me a ton of money in the process. I highly recommend it.
