My wife and two of our children and I are heading to Albuquerque on Wednesday, October 11th to view the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.. My plan is to give a couple of updates on the experience using my Treo and TypePad Mobile for posting. It enables you to do a post and attach a photo if you want.
I will also be doing some work while there with the iBook and Treo.
Just another way to stay “Connected.”
This does not seem right. You work from home. You don't have a staff. Nobody can see your degrees and licenses. (How do we know if you were law review). And, you still have the time and money to take a vacation? Oh, the lawyernistas who believe in hard work, billable hours, long commutes, thousand dollar suits, heavily starched shirts, that live in the tall, tall office towers downtown amongst the marble and mohogany are NOT going to understand this. Who is going to explain it to them? I desperately urge you not to do this. Think of the landlords for God's sake and their families. Don't you have any sense of responsibility? If you do this unthinkable act, and you are spotted, it could start a revolution. All of the lawyernistas might start moving out of the offices buildings, start blogs and move home. THEN WHAT WILL WE DO?
OMG, I have not laughed that hard at a comment on the HOL blog in a long time. But, you know Chuch you are right. They just don't understand. How can we bill for our time when we are on a vacation? Flat Fees help. And, how will I keep in touch with clients and the courts while away. Humm, can you say, "Connected Lawyer." Let me explain to the "others". It is called a Treo 650 and a Mac iBook with a Airport card and BlueTooth. I am sure I will be fine and so will my clients.
And if I am lucky, I will get to meet another HOL while in Albuquerque.
