Are You Good, Or Great?

Most consumer bankruptcy lawyers when marketing their practices say that they do a good job.  They highlight the same things – free consultation, easy payment plans, and the like.

In other words, the same things everyone else says.

When pressed they say that they return phone calls, give good service, and help people out of debt.

Again, the same old same old.

They fail to differentiate from the pack, fearful of doing or saying anything that is different from anyone else.

But when you do this you tell the public that you’re good – not great.

And when you’re good, you lose money.  Big time.

Consider this post by Seth Godin as food for thought.
