I have been lucky! The only problem I have encountered is being isolated. During such times, I force myself to get out and do something constructive to make contacts. If you can remember that this is your profession and you make a living from it, you tend to stay focus. Keeping everything in perspective keeps you balanced.

I think the one issue with me while working from home is one that you have not listed. That being 'time management'. The other issues come with the territory, such as a lack of privacy or a strain on family life. Those offset the blessing of not having to commute to work and stuck in traffic for hours on end.

I do work form home time to time, and your blog has been inspirational. I still have trouble shaking the feeling (self-generated) that I'm out of the loop when I'm working at home. I feel a bit isolated, and am bothered by a sense that I'm being less than serious. When I put on a suit, and drive to the office, I feel charged up…this has far more to do with my own psychology than anything else. The balance that I strike is by having a functioning office at home, and using some the technology that you have described, and coming home to work when I need to disconnect from the world a bit, and reconnect with my family.
