Law Blog Basics: Get your blog rolling

Carolyn Elefant has a great article in the June 2005 issue of the GPSolo Magazine from the ABA called Get Your Blog Rolling. As she states, blogs are basically conventional websites with frequently updated content. With blogs, lawyers can increase their web visibility and use their experience to create a forum for high-quality information on substantive areas of law and new legal developments.

As Carolyn also states, you don’t need tons of time or cash to capture the benefits of blogging. In addition as a self promotion statement, my practice area blog is mentioned in the article.

Experiencing layout problems at the Kansas Family and Divorce Lawyer Blog

Sixapart is experiencing issues with layout and design at my other blog today. They state,” we know about the problem and are working hard to resolve it. Over the weekend we will be automatically republishing weblogs on TypePad in order to address the problem.” Well, I hope so. The layout and design is rather strange and hard to make any sense out of.

One of the best sites for information on blogging for the lawyer and blogging in general is Kevin O’Keefe’s blog, lexBlog. Kevin provides a tremendous amount of information on blogging. I will be providing links to post done by Kevin from time to time.
