I have tried just about every Bluetooth headset on the market. Some are good, most are awful. Bad range, bad sound, overall bad bad bad.
I finally found Bluetooth nirvana, and you all need to know about it. It’s call the Jawbone Aliph, and it’s a thing of beauty.
Designed by a renowned industrial designer, it packs in three microphones and a voice-activity sensor as well as military-grade “noise shield” technology that has been approved by DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency), the U.S. Department of Defense’s independent research branch.
The design is the epitome of sexy technology. But even if it were ugly as sin, I’d still keep it. The audio enhancement technology automatically adjusts the volume according to the environment. A tiny voice-activity sensor rests against your cheek in order for the headset to detect the vibration of your voice.
As I said, the Jawbone has three different microphones built into the device, the aforementioned voice-activity sensor plus Aliph’s proprietary Noise Shield audio processing in order to help reduce outside noise and not only amplify your own voice but also enhance incoming audio.
The cost? Under $100. And if you use this link, the price through Amazon is actually less than I paid for it.
