This is another reason why lawyers, whether solo or firm, should be blogging. This from Law.com Blog Network.
Where are Americans most likely to turn for legal advice? After family and friends, the Internet is now the single biggest nonlawyer source for legal information
Three times as many U.S. adults today turn to the Internet for legal advice and information than did six years ago — 27 percent in 2006 compared with 10 percent in 2000. And while more still turn to family and friends for legal guidance, they are becoming far less likely to do so — 49 percent in 2000 relied on family and friends compared with 31 percent today.
The potential growth for internet generated business is great. With the advantages of blogging over a traditional website, a blog should be considered in any marketing plan for a solo or firm.
Blogging is the only marketing I am doing at this time. I do no yellow page ads, or any other types of ads. My Kansas Family Law Blog is bringing in new business every week. Almost every day. Kevin O’Keefe and his crew at lexBLog did a great job in redesigning my family law blog. I would encourage anyone who is considering using a blog as part of their marketing to contact Kevin.
