I am in the middle of this rat race right now. I have sis secretaries, a full-time investigator and an associate, and I don't make any more money for myself and have less time for my family than ever. AAaaarch!

It's been my experience, both in my own practice(s) and those of my Rainmaking Clients and all the other happy lawyers I know, that the best. . . no the ONLY predictor for how successful any given lawyer will be in his or her career is the degree to which the work we do is in alignment with our passions in life.
An excellent book on the subject is Unstoppable by Cynthia Kersey.
