This is the best lawyer ad I’ve seen. Ever. Hands-down. It’s like the Friday of lawyer ads.
Why? Because unlike the other hysterical ones, this ad is real.
If you can’t see the ad, click here. Totally worth it.

Thanks for stopping by. I'm a practicing lawyer who helps attorneys break free from bad client service and ineffective marketing. No academics, just real-world training and consulting that get results.
When I'm not working with other lawyers, I'm out there helping people in the fields of consumer bankruptcy, debt collection abuse, and credit reporting errors. [Read More …]

At least it was a cheap ad
This is exactly the kind of advertising that screws over people who actually try cases. Schmuck.
Does he not try cases? Does he do a sub-par job? He’s hysterical, so if he can back it up with results I can see why it works.
I GUFFAWED watching that! Great way to just own something. I’m still walking around saying ‘working’ and singing his phone number. Jingles stick in your head, whether you want them to or not.

The sad thing is that this type of commercial still kind of works. At least in the fact that you remember the guy’s name later.
How’s it sad? I think a lawyer who can poke fun at himself in this fashion is brilliant. He totally got me hooked, and you can bet he’s the name I’d remember if I needed help. If he’s got a good reputation in the legal community and gets good results then it’s a win.
True, I could see this working well with a lawyer that already has a good reputation, or at least gets results for his clients regardless of what other attorneys think of him. But, I would hate to see this as someone’s first advertising introduction to the community.
That’s classic. I still prefer the ad for Lowell “the Hammer” Stanley because he seems so angry that potential clients haven’t called him yet. Still this is so low-budget, you can’t help but like it.

I’ve seen The Hammer. Love his stuff. Maybe I’ll start a weekly feature called “funny lawyer ads.”
Jay – agree totally; it’s clever, amusing, creative and shows a lawyer who’s human.
I’ve been looking at dozens of sites to try to figure out how to present myself. Most are boring, visually overcrowded and pompous. That’s one of the best I’ve seen. Thanks for sharing it.
I first encountered this lawyer in Las Vegas when I was attending law school and now he has moved into the Phoenix area where I now practice. Glen Lerner is a testament to the power of advertising. People mock him, criticize him, and he laughs all the way to the bank.
I loved this ad! Made me laugh hard. I think it’s much better than having William Shatner say your name in a canned script.
OH, I don’t know. Having William Shatner just say my name would be inherently funny, like his rendition of Tambourine Man.
If my name were Denny Crane I would hire Shatner for it. He’d have to say it menacingly, though.
