I did, a little over a year ago. As I have said before, why did I wait so long? If you are considering switching or are in the middle of switching, take a look at the new book from O’Reilly.
Switching to the Mac: The Missing Manual, Tiger Edition
No matter what business you are in and especially if you have a home office, the Mac is the way to go. Before I switched, I would spend between $3000 to $4000 per year for tech support. I spend zero now. Before the switch, I was hammered at least twice with serious viruses. Since the switch, none.
Best of all, the Mac just works and works all the time. They are a work horse and I have not had any problems in the last year. NONE!!!!!! So my question to you, why have you not switched? Do it!!!! You won’t regret it.

Have you switched?
Apple computers and gadgets seem to be more popular in South Africa than they were a couple years ago. It seems to me that this has quite a bit to do with the immensely popular iPod and its variations. I came across a post on Home Office Lawyer which as
"Switching to Mac"

We switched to Macs at my law office last April and haven't regretted it for a day. I also experienced major regular computer problems using Wintel systems, and have been virtually problem free since swtiching. We recently upgraded to Tiger Server and haven't looked back since.
I bought my first Mac, an Apple SEII back at the beginning of my third year of law school in 1987. I was one of only a handful of students who had their own computer at the time and I made lots of money typing up resumes and cover letters for my classmates. However, my machine was destroyed in a flood in my apartment in 1990 and I couldn’t afford another machine with the $600 I received as replacement value. By then, I was working and had use of a PC computer at my office and less of a need for a home machine. Unfortuntely, during that period, I grew accustomed to using Word Perfect so when I invested in a machine for my office , I went with a PC where I could use WP.
So my question now is whether there’s a Word Perfect program that’s compatible with the Mac? I find myself using Word more and more but I really dislike it. But that’s essentially the factor that’s holding me back from returning to Macs after all this time.
There is a product called aqua connect TS that is basically a terminal service for the Mac Platform. It will allow multiple users to connect to a mac server at the same time…..with session being totally isolated from one another. It will also allow you to run osx on a pc and osx on old mac hardware! This alone in a huge push for someone to switch to Mac
