Aaron Brazell has written a guest post on leveraging tagging for you blog over on Problogger and it has prompted me to post about some observations that I have made recently.
I have been using simple tags and pinging Technorati and many others, (see image below) for about 3 months now. The results I have seen is an actual increase in traffic. I tag all my post now on both this blog and the Kansas Family Law Blog.
It is clear from looking at my stats that those who come to my post from Technorati are looking at more than one page and are looking around. The question one has to ask however, are these individuals the general public or are they the more “techie”? Well, right now I don’t care. Traffic helps and if this means more are viewing my blogs, the better.
Here is a list of all those that I ping when I post a new post. I use Pingoat to do this.
