I know that I have always said that I love MarsEdit MarsEdit. And I still do. But I thought I would try this little program called ecto. Was introduced to the program by a blogging friend of mine that has the Neuvo Blog. Not sure what to think so far. But I have roughly 21 days to mess around with it. So far it is not bad. I will have to see how much I can customize it to fit how I like to blog. In fact, I am using it right now to do this post.
UPDATE: I have now used etco to post 4 new post. So far, and I hate to admit this. I like it. It does have more features than MarsEdit. However, its ease of use does not match that of MarsEdit’s yet. Perhaps once someone has used it as long as I have used MarsEdit, its ease of use will match it.
- there are features such as this. Simple click the bullet in the plain text tool bar and you have a bullet line.
- Same goes for a number.
And you can also get some color into your post with another click. In addition you can put a line through text as I did above. I am planning to continue to use this new blogging machine to see what else can be done with it. Oh, and it is available for both my favorite platform, OSX and that other one windoze.

And getting an extended post is as easy as typing in the lower part of the window. Now that is interesting.
