I love the new upgrade to Leopard. Works like a dream. Except I’ve been having problems with the drop-down menus in Firefox. I thought I was imagining the problem, but apparently not.
According to the release notes of Firefox 2.0.0.9, some drop down boxes may continue not to work correctly when you run Firefox in the new Mac OS, Leopard. In addition, there are known problems with some media plugins and add-ons that contain binary components.
The Mozilla site devoted to bugs indicates that this is not a Leopard bug, but rather an issue with the way that Mozilla is coded. How many times have you heard a software company or developer fess up to a bug that’s not the other guy’s fault?
In any event, Mozilla’s apparently working on the bug. I’ll keep you posted, but wanted to let you know you’re not imaginging things.
